Frances Hopkins is optimistic, almost to a fault. Although a researcher contracted by GRAIL, her code name is more a formality than anything she actually uses. A woman in her mid 20s with long blonde hair, a twee sense of style, and an eclectic taste in jewellery: she is eager to know who you are, how you're doing, and why exactly you're in Antarctica. A friend to all—she avoids disagreement at all cost. Talk to her too long, however, and you're sure to be treated to a very excited rant about penguins.
