Dr. Emanuel—or 'Emi' to friends—is a broad-shouldered but soft-spoken man in his late 30s, unerringly devoted to his research of the deepest seafloors, and his love for their most inexplicable and miraculous denizens. His long, navy hair is always braided with oceanic charms—the same ones that adorn blue waistcoats, alongside his rosary. Despite the academic look, he seems much more at home in a wetsuit or a submarine than on dry land.
