Each player character at APERIS is there as a member of one of nine Factions. These Factions are the few organisations that have full awareness of what is happening at APERIS. Each Faction has its own particular priorities, as well as a unique mixture of affinities and tensions with the other Factions.

==== NATO ====
Representatives of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, a political and military alliance of countries from Europe and North America.
